In this article I am not speaking to the new business owner; I am writing for the business owner who is well established, and seeking a successful succession plan upon retirement. Gone are the days when your employees can afford to buy your business.

Succession, as any well established business owner knows, is more likely to be a structured buy in, buy-out or merger. This succession must be planned for well in advance.

You are a well-established, baby boomer business owner. If you remember these images from your 1950’s -1960’s era childhood - I am writing this for you.
