There are more hotels in Cancun than practically everywhere else in the Caribbean. From surprisingly reasonable budget hotels, to unimaginably luxurious five star affairs, Cancun has a range of accommodation to match every holidaymaker’s taste and budget.

The Good Value Three Star

Imperial las Perlas:
The Imperial las Perlas is one of the most affordable hotels in Cancun. But just because it’s a bit cheaper than many other Cancun hotels, doesn’t mean that it’s not a great place little to stay. All the facilities are in perfect working order, and the beachside location is fantastic… not bad for a three star!

The Middle of the Range Four Stars

Barcelo Costa Cancun:
Although it’s not a five star Cancun hotel, the Barcelo Costa Cancun has many of the characteristics you’d associate with the very top echelons of resort accommodation. For starters, the rooms are much larger and the bathrooms more exclusively finished than you usually get in a hotel of its class.

What’s more, the whole hotel is never anything less than spotlessly clean, from the lobby areas and rooms to the pool and garden areas. Then there’s the service: Barcelo Costa Cancun is undoubtedly one of the most friendly and attentively staffed hotels in Cancun.

Beach Paradise:
The Beach Paradise is another four star hotel in Cancun that – practically in and of itself – can really make for a dream Caribbean trip. It’s hard to fault it on any front, really, although the service particularly stands out, with someone seemingly permanently on hand to freshen your drink!

The restaurant, too, is amazing with a different international theme every night. And although it’s essentially a quiet hotel perfect for a relaxing break, meanwhile, it’s also a stone’s throw away from the best Cancun nightlife. All in all then, it puts forward a pretty compelling case.

The Luxury Five Star

Gran Melia Cancun:
The Melia chain is a long established Spanish owned hotel chain. Which is one of the reasons why the Gran Melia Cancun is so popular with Spaniards on their dream viajes Caribe (as they’d call Caribbean trip). For the other countless reasons, you just have to cast an eye over its deliciously lavish facilities!

Everyone raves about the ocean views and the swanky lobby area, while the gardens are extensive, and perfect for checking out the breathtaking sunsets. The pool area, meanwhile, is separated from the beach by a row of lazily waving palm trees… It is, in short, the perfect place to stay on your Mexico trip.
