The company where I do my internship is called GoGorilla Media. The name “GoGorilla” derive from the word “Guerilla Marketing” which is one of the strategies of GoGorilla Media. The creative potential of this creative advertising factory and the idea of reaching a major target group with unusually marketing ideas were fascinating to me and the major reason why I choose this company as my host company. The strategy of GoGorilla Media is placing advertising media at places where nobody would expect them for example on American dollar bills or on the sidewalk.
On my first day at work I knew this would be a comfortable place for me. As soon as I arrived I was introduced to everybody in person and my co workers welcomed me with the American phrase: Hi, nice to meet you. How are you? From the first minute I got the feeling to be part of the company. It didn’t take long and I found myself in my first meeting. Of course it was not easy for me to understand every single word in the meeting and the confusion talk of all the marketing experts. I tried my best to understand and it seemed like that I was successful with it. All the tasks I was asked to do I accomplished fast and without any problems. Among other things I got familiar with a few unknown programs. Jenny, my supervisor and at the same time Operation Manager of GoPoster, one of the departments of GoGorilla Media, showed a lot of effort to explain and show everything to me. I was surprised about the unbelievable amount of different advertising materials which were collected over the last years in the storage of GoGorilla Media. But most of all I was impressed by the amount of good ideas.
