Five Sousse Hotels to Savor: A Roundup of Tunisia AccommodationCategory: Travel & Holidays Article added by: Paul Collins
Tunisia has been the summer sun destination of choice for countless holidaymakers down through the years. And with its stunning resorts lined with beautiful beaches and studded with sumptuous hotels, it's perfectly obvious why.
Few places, though, offer quite as much as Sousse when it comes to picking that perfect Tunisian package holiday. Alongside all its other wonderful assets, one thing above all else makes it stand out in the minds of holidaymakers: the number of superb Sousse hotels.
Tej Mahaba
With its comfortable rooms, its delicious restaurant and its astoundingly friendly staff, the Tej Mahaba is, without a doubt, one of the most attractive choices of hotel in Sousse. But they’re all just precursors to what’s the main attraction: the abundant sun, sea and sand that their gorgeous pool and beach areas offer.
Abou Nawas Nejma
Aboua Nawas Nejma is pretty much everything you’d possibly want in an aparthotel in Sousse. The apartments are invariably spotlessly clean and comfortable, and many offer fabulous views out to sea (whose beach lies just across the road). What’s more, the Old Town’s Medina – with its lively souks and great shopping – is only a ten-minute stroll away.
Riadh Palms
The Riadh Palms is well-known for the quality of its all-inclusive package. As a great value hotel in Tunisia that offers a range of activities (and nearby water sports), it remains a popular choice of holidaymakers with children, particularly Spanish families on their viajes Tunez (or Tunisia trips).
Hasdrubal Thalassa Hotel & Spa
Strikingly set within its well kept gardens, the Hasdrubal Thalassa is undoubtedly one of the more luxurious of Sousse hotels – despite really being in the nearby town of Port el Kantaoui! There are 36 holes of excellent golf on hand to make a nice change from the beach, while for most people looking for a relaxing Tunisia trip, top billing goes to the excellent spa resources.
El Mouradi Palace
It’s pretty hard to fault the El Mouradi Palace. Although like the Hasdrubal (above) it’s actually in the resort of Port el Kantouai, Sousse itself is still just a short car drive away. It’s a quiet hotel that’s popular amongst older travelers and families, and it all comes in for a price that would get you next to nothing in a European resort.
