If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well” Proverb

Are you thinking about converting your career and doing something a bit different. Before you do anything you need to make a list of pros and cons as to why you should make that change, add up the reasons and assess how important each reason is to you.

Also you need to decide what you want out of a new job or career change, more opportunities? More challenges? What’s most important to you?

Also you need to be prepared to perhaps work your way up if you’re looking into going into a sector you have no previous experience in. This could take a few hours away from you, but if you enjoy doing the job, does that make it worth while?

Money is another factor, how much do you need, and it’s also integral to remember that the job that you really enjoy doing may not be the highest paid. In fact it’s almost certainly not going to be, life never works out in such a lovely manner. Doing a job that pays that much more will probably be doing something you’re not very passionate about or something you don’t enjoy but if this is in fact the situation you need to assess what is more important to you, doing something you love or earning more money?

Also be sure to check out all avenues with your current company as now is not the time to be throwing away jobs. Also maybe it could be an option that is open to you to think about perhaps making your hobby into a career. Most people think that this won’t be financially of benefit to them or they can’t possibly make any money off the thing you enjoy doing. This isn’t necessarily true, as the thing you enjoy doing is normally the thing that you do best, put most effort into and therefore excel at. If you are looking for a new job in the Bristol or Cardiff area, Cardiff Jobs and Bristol Jobs are good places to start in looking for your dream job.
